What it is
Pregnancy
In pregnancy, hormones loosen your ligaments, your growing baby adds weight and pressure, and your posture shifts week by week. That changes how your pelvic floor, core, hips and back share load. Pelvic girdle pain (around the SI joints and pubic bone), low back pain, leaking and heaviness are common, and they can be treated while you’re pregnant.
Pelvic and back pain affect a lot of pregnant women. You don’t have to push through until delivery.

In Katrina’s words
Pregnancy changes how your pelvic floor, core, and hips share load week by week. Pelvic girdle and SI pain, pubic symphysis pain, leakage, and heaviness are common—and they are not something you just have to push through until delivery.
We help you keep hiking, lifting, and moving with strategies that respect each trimester, and we prepare you for birth: pushing practice, positions, perineal care, and what recovery may look like for your body.
Pelvic PT complements your OB or midwife care. If anything feels off medically, we will help you get to the right clinician first.

Common questions
FAQs
Is it safe to see a pelvic floor PT while pregnant?
Yes. Pelvic PT is safe throughout pregnancy, and we adapt the evaluation and exercises to each trimester and your comfort.
When should I start birth prep?
Many women come in during the second trimester, but any time is helpful. A session or two around 30–34 weeks is a great time to practice pushing and positions.
Can I keep running or lifting while pregnant?
Often, yes—with smart modifications. We look at your symptoms and goals and help you adjust load rather than stopping everything.
